Review of Poker.com (6.93)

Poker.com is a poker room with a lot of interesting special features.  Players can create their own poker avatars or they can choose from the samples that Poker.com provides.  Elevator music plays in the Poker.com lobby, but can be turned off for those who don’t want to listen to it.  The most intriguing special feature that Poker.com has is the ability to rabbit hunt.  If you win a hand, but want to see what you would have had, you can rabbit hunt to see the remaining cards.  With all these features, Poker.com provides a poker experience that is completely different from anything you have seen before.

Layout of Poker.com (9)

Poker.com has a great website that is very informative.  You can take a look at Poker.com’s news, Poker.com’s promotions, and you can check the tournament schedule to see when you want to play.  There is a little too much open white space on the website, and the website can be a little forceful in trying to get you to download.  Other than that, this website is pretty good.

From the moment it first loads you know that Poker.com is different.  Immediately after logging in, elevator music plays while you search the lobby for a suitable game.  Speaking of searching for a game, Poker.com makes this incredibly easy, as they have a large amount of filters to empower you with the ability to find a game quickly.  The software also looks great, with a beautiful dark red color scheme.

Customer Service at Poker.com (10)

Poker.com actually has an entire website devoted to customer service, not just a small section of a website.  You can get help from the Poker.com staff, as well as offer suggestions and report bugs.  The Poker.com staff is superb and responds to every inquiry swiftly and efficiently.

Competition at Poker.com (8)

Poker.com has a lot of weak players who see way too many flops.  They try to get lucky and good players will burn them when they’re relying solely on catching their cards.

Games at Poker.com (3)

This is Poker.com’s biggest weakness as only Texas Holdem and Omaha are offered.  There are also blackjack and backgammon side games, but this is a pretty poor showing of games.

Real Money Traffic at Poker.com (5)

Poker.com doesn’t have a large number of players, but they are trying to rectify the situation.  During peak hours, there is usually between 600 and 700 ring game players and 1,200 to 1,300 tournament players online at Poker.com and playing for real money.

Online Poker Tournaments at Poker.com (7)

Poker.com hosts a weekly $10,000 guaranteed tournament as well as a number of smaller daily tournaments.  The players are also amazingly loose in these tournaments, so there is money to be made in the Poker.com tournaments.

Freerolls at Poker.com (8)

There are always freerolls going on at Poker.com.  A $100 freeroll takes place every three hours.  A weekly $20,000 freeroll and a biweekly $4,000 freeroll are available for players who have earned enough comps points over the previous week.  First time depositors also gain a week’s worth of entries into the daily $500 new depositors freerolls.  There is definitely no lack of freeroll action here.

Stakes at Poker.com (8)

Limit games have stakes beginning at $0.10/$0.20 and going up to $30/$60.  No limit games have stakes beginning at $0.05/$0.10 and going up to $10/$20.  There usually aren’t very many people in the high stakes games, so it may take a while to get a good game going.
